GFI “Protein Transition” Course
Access the Good Food Institute’s open-source curriculum on the science and economics of alternative proteins. Join fellow BU students in taking the course, with BU APP providing journals for notetaking and key takeaways to track your learning. Keep an eye out for live cohort sessions, where students can meet to discuss the content together and deepen their understanding.
Future of Food Research Challenge
This challenge is a semester-long program where students design innovative research proposals addressing big questions in food systems and alternative proteins. Open to undergraduates and graduates across disciplines, the challenge gives you the chance to practice proposal writing, collaborate with peers, and receive feedback from faculty and industry mentors—while building a tangible project you can feature on your resume or academic portfolio.
Research Journal Club
Engage with the latest scientific literature on alternative proteins, sustainability, and food systems. Present your own findings or abstracts, receive peer feedback, and sharpen your research and scientific communication skills in a collaborative, low-stakes environment.
